How to Search & Browse Providers
Find exactly who you're looking for with our powerful search and filtering tools
Last updated: February 2026
Quick Overview
TheOtherBoard makes it easy to find providers in your area. You can search by city, use filters to narrow results, and browse providers who are available right now. This guide walks you through every tool available to help you find the perfect match.
The Homepage
When you first visit TheOtherBoard, you'll land on the main directory page. It's designed to get you browsing quickly with three key sections:
Featured Providers
At the top of the page, you'll see a horizontally scrolling carousel of Featured Providers. These are premium listings from providers who want extra visibility. You can scroll through them by swiping left or right on mobile, or using the scroll arrows on desktop. The carousel also auto-advances every few seconds.
Available Now
Below the featured carousel, you'll find the Available Now section. These are providers who have actively "boosted" their profile to let you know they're currently available for appointments. This is the best place to look if you want to meet someone soon.
Browse All Providers
At the bottom of the homepage, you'll see a "Browse All Providers" button. Tapping this takes you to the full directory where you can see every provider, use search, apply filters, and sort results.
Using the Search Bar
The search bar sits right at the top of the page, inside the blue/purple hero area. It's the fastest way to find providers in a specific location.
What You Can Search For
City Name
Type a city like "Denver", "Austin", or "Las Vegas" to find providers in that area.
Provider Name
Know who you're looking for? Type their name directly to jump to their profile.
State Name
Search by state (like "Colorado" or "Texas") to see all providers in that state.
Keywords
Try combining terms like "Boulder blonde" to search by location and description at once.
How Search Works
Tap the search bar at the top of the page. A dropdown with popular cities and quick filters will appear.
Type a city name, state, provider name, or keyword. Results update automatically as you type — just pause for a moment.
Review results in the grid below. Exact matches for your city appear first, then nearby providers within your search radius.
Use filter chips or the filter drawer to narrow results further by availability, service type, or appearance.
Search Suggestions
When you tap on the search bar, a dropdown appears with two helpful sections:
- Popular Cities — Quick-tap buttons for the most popular cities on the platform. Each shows the number of providers in that city, so you can see at a glance where the most options are.
- Quick Filters — One-tap buttons for "Available Now" and "Verified Only" to instantly narrow your results without typing anything.
Location & Radius Search
When you search by city, TheOtherBoard uses a radius-based search to find providers near that location. This means you'll see providers in the city you searched and in nearby cities too.
How Radius Search Works
You search for a city
For example, searching "Denver" sets Denver as the center point of your search.
A search radius is applied
By default, the search looks within 25 miles of the city center. Providers in Denver, Aurora, Lakewood, Boulder, and other nearby cities will appear.
Results are ranked by relevance
Exact city matches appear first in a highlighted section. Nearby results appear below, ordered by distance and activity.
You can adjust the radius
Use the radius chip below the search bar to widen or narrow your search area from 5 to 100 miles.
Adjusting the Radius
After searching for a city, you'll see filter chips appear below the search bar. One of them will show your location and radius (like "Denver · 25 mi"). You can:
- Tap the radius chip to open a slider that lets you increase or decrease the search area (5 to 100 miles)
- A smaller radius (5–15 miles) is great for dense metro areas
- A larger radius (50–100 miles) is useful in rural areas or when you want more options
Exact Matches vs. Nearby Results
When you search for a city, results are split into two groups:
- Exact Matches — Providers whose listed city matches your search exactly. These appear in a highlighted card at the top of results.
- Other Results — Providers within your search radius but in a different nearby city. These appear in the main grid below.
Using Filters
Filters help you narrow down results to exactly what you're looking for. There are two ways to access them depending on your device.
Filter Chips (Desktop)
On desktop, you'll see a row of tappable filter chips directly below the search bar. These are your most-used filters, always visible and one click away:
Active filters turn highlighted (colored) so you can always see what's applied. Tap an active filter again to turn it off.
The Filter Drawer (All Filters)
For more detailed filtering, tap the "More Filters" button to open the full filter drawer. It slides in from the right side and includes everything:
- Available Now — Only show providers who are currently boosted and ready for appointments
- Incall — Providers who offer appointments at their location
- Outcall — Providers who will come to your location
- Touring — Providers currently visiting from another city
- Fly Me To You — Providers willing to travel to your city for an appointment
- Verified Only — Only show providers who have completed our identity verification process
- Has Reviews — Only show providers who have received at least one client review
Type a city or state name to search by location. This works the same as the main search bar but from within the filter drawer. Combine it with other filters for precise results — like "Available Now providers in Denver who offer outcall."
Narrow results by physical characteristics:
- Ethnicity — Filter by ethnic background
- Body Type — Filter by body type (Slim, Athletic, Curvy, etc.)
- Hair Color — Blonde, Brunette, Redhead, Black, etc.
- Eye Color — Brown, Blue, Green, Hazel, etc.
- Tattoos — None, Some, or Many
- Piercings — None, Some, or Many
Filter by the types of services a provider offers. These are broad categories — for specific details, always check the provider's full profile.
Filters on Mobile
On smaller screens, the filter experience is streamlined for easy one-handed use.
Sticky Filter Bar
When you scroll down through results on mobile, a compact filter bar sticks to the top of your screen. It gives you quick access to:
- Sort button — Change the sort order without scrolling back up
- Quick toggles — "Verified" and "Available Now" are always one tap away
- Filter count badge — Shows how many filters are active, so you always know if results are filtered
- "Filters" button — Opens the full filter panel
Mobile Filter Panel
Tapping "Filters" opens a full-screen panel that slides in from the right. It has the same options as the desktop drawer but uses a mobile-friendly layout with:
- Large, easy-to-tap checkboxes for toggles (Verified, Available Now, Online Now, Has Reviews)
- Dropdown menus for appearance filters (Ethnicity, Body Type, Hair Color, Eye Color)
- Text input for location
- Clear "Reset All" and "Apply Filters" buttons at the bottom
Sorting Results
Once you're viewing search results, you can change how providers are ordered using the sort buttons that appear above the provider grid.
Newest
Default sort. Shows the most recently active providers first — great for seeing fresh faces.
Popular
Ranks providers by popularity based on profile views and engagement. Good for finding well-known providers.
Price: Low to High
Shows providers starting from the lowest rates. Useful when you have a specific budget in mind.
Price: High to Low
Shows premium providers first. Great for finding luxury experiences.
Understanding Provider Cards
Each provider in the results grid is shown as a card. Here's how to read all the information on a card:
Card Elements
The main image takes up most of the card. Providers can set which photo appears as their card image. This is their "first impression" photo.
Below the photo you'll see the provider's display name and their city. If they're in a different city than your search, you'll see the distance in miles.
Look for these indicators on provider cards:
- Verified badge (checkmark icon) — This provider has completed our identity verification process. Their photos and identity have been confirmed.
- Available Now (lightning/star icon) — This provider is currently boosted and ready for appointments.
- Online indicator (green dot) — The provider is currently active on the site.
- Review count — If they have reviews, you'll see the number of reviews on their card.
Some cards show the provider's starting rate. This is their minimum booking rate to give you a quick idea of pricing. Full rate details are always available on their profile page.
Each card has a few quick actions:
- Heart icon — Save this provider to your Favorites list. You'll need to be logged in to use this.
- Tap the card — Opens the provider's full profile page where you can see all their photos, details, reviews, and contact options.
Browsing Through Results
Results load progressively as you scroll — there's no confusing pagination with page numbers to deal with.
How It Works
- The first batch of providers loads immediately
- As you scroll toward the bottom, more providers load automatically
- A counter shows "Showing X of Y providers" so you always know where you are
- If auto-loading doesn't trigger, a "Load More Providers" button appears
- When you've seen everyone, you'll see a "You've seen all providers" message
Going Back
If you tap a provider's card to view their profile and then press the back button, you'll return to exactly where you were in the results — your scroll position, loaded providers, and active filters are all preserved. No need to start over.
Tips & Tricks
Check "Available Now" First
If you want to meet someone today, start with the Available Now filter. These providers are actively looking for appointments right now.
Look for Verified Providers
The verified badge means photos are confirmed real. It's especially helpful when you're new and want extra confidence in who you're contacting.
Try Nearby Cities
If your city has few results, increase the search radius or search for the nearest major metro area. Many providers serve a regional area.
Combine Search + Filters
Search "Austin" then toggle "Outcall" and "Verified" for precise results. Filters and search work together — they don't reset each other.
Common Questions
Try these steps:
- Increase the search radius to 50 or 100 miles
- Remove any active filters (especially "Available Now" which only shows currently boosted providers)
- Try searching for the nearest major city instead of a small town
- Search by state name to see all providers in your state
"Available Now" means the provider has actively activated a boost to signal they're currently available for appointments. It's not just an online status — it's a deliberate action they take when they're ready and wanting to see clients. Boosts last 2–3 hours depending on the provider's subscription tier.
Verified providers have completed our identity verification process, which confirms their photos are real and match their actual appearance. It's an extra layer of trust that helps you feel confident you'll meet the person you see in the photos. Learn more about verification.
Tap the heart icon on any provider card to add them to your Favorites. You'll need to be logged in. View all your saved providers anytime from the Favorites page.
Your filter and sort preferences are saved locally in your browser to make repeat visits faster. If you want a clean slate, open the filter drawer and tap "Clear All" to reset everything.
Incall means you go to the provider's location. Outcall means the provider comes to you (typically your hotel or residence). Some providers offer both. Check out our Incall vs Outcall guide for more details.
Touring providers are visiting a city temporarily — they don't live there full-time. They'll be available for a limited time, so if you see someone touring in your city, act quickly. The "Fly Me To You" filter finds providers willing to travel to your area if you arrange it.
