How to Set Up Your Provider Profile

Create a complete, compelling profile that attracts the right clients and makes a great first impression

Last updated: February 2026

Quick Overview

Your provider profile is your storefront on TheOtherBoard. It's the first thing potential clients see, and a complete, well-written profile makes a huge difference in the quality and volume of inquiries you receive. This guide walks you through every section of the profile editor so you can present yourself exactly the way you want.

Getting to Your Profile

The profile editor is where you control everything visitors see on your public profile page. Here's how to get there:

How to Open the Profile Editor

1

Log in to your provider account on TheOtherBoard.

2

Tap your avatar or the menu icon in the navigation bar to open the provider menu.

3

Select "Edit Profile" (or navigate directly to /provider/profile).

4

You'll land on the profile editor with all your current information pre-filled. Make your changes and tap "Save Changes" when done.

Changes are saved when you tap the "Save Changes" button at the top of the page (or the sticky save bar at the bottom on mobile). Nothing is published until you save.

What You'll See

The profile editor is organized into clearly labeled sections, each in its own card. You can scroll through and edit any section in any order. The sections are:

  • Basic Information -- Display name, headline, and bio
  • Card Photo -- Choose which photo appears on your search result card
  • Location -- City, state, and ZIP code
  • Contact Information -- Email, phone, and website
  • Physical Attributes -- Height, weight, and measurements
  • Services & Rates -- What you offer and your pricing
  • Policies & Guidelines -- Deposit, screening, and contact rules
  • Availability Options -- Incall, outcall, touring, and Fly Me To You

Basic Information

This is the first section in the editor and contains the most important text on your profile. These fields shape how you appear in search results and on your profile page.

Display Name

Your display name is what clients see everywhere -- on your profile, in search results, in messages, and on provider cards. It's limited to 50 characters and is required. Choose something memorable and professional that represents your brand.

Headline

The headline is a short tagline (up to 120 characters) that appears directly on your card in search results. Think of it as your elevator pitch -- a quick line that catches attention or shares timely info. Good examples:

  • "Available evenings in Denver"
  • "New photos just uploaded!"
  • "Touring Austin Feb 20-25"
  • "Upscale companion for discerning gentlemen"
Update your headline regularly. It's one of the easiest ways to keep your profile looking fresh and signal that you're active. Touring dates, specials, or a personal touch all work well here.

Bio

Your bio is the main "About Me" section on your profile page. It supports rich text formatting -- you can use bold, italic, links, and lists to make it visually appealing. You have up to 5,000 characters to work with.

This is where you tell potential clients who you are, what makes you special, and what they can expect. Write in your own voice -- authenticity goes a long way.

Setting Your Rates

The rates section lets you list your pricing for different durations. This information appears on your public profile page under the "Rates" tab, so clients can see your pricing before reaching out.

How Rates Work

1

In the Services & Rates section, find the Rates area below the services checklist.

2

Select a duration from the dropdown (e.g., "1 hour", "2 hours", "Overnight").

3

Enter your price in the dollar amount field next to it.

4

Tap "Add Rate" to add another duration/price row. You can list as many as you need.

5

To remove a rate, tap the X button on that row. Empty rows are ignored when saving.

Available Durations

You can set rates for any combination of these time periods:

30 minutes1 hour90 minutes2 hours3 hours4 hours6 hoursOvernight24 hoursWeekend
You don't need to list every duration -- just the ones you offer. Most providers list 3-5 options (like 1 hour, 2 hours, 3 hours, overnight). Your lowest listed rate is what appears as the "starting at" price on your card in search results.

Adding and Removing Rates

Each rate is a row with a duration dropdown and a price field. Tap "Add Rate" to add another row. To remove a rate, tap the X button next to it. Empty rows (no duration or no price) are automatically ignored when you save.

Availability & Preferences

This section covers how clients can meet you and your availability preferences.

Availability Options

In the Availability Options card, you can toggle these settings:

Incall Available

You host appointments at your location. Clients come to you.

Outcall Available

You travel to the client's location (hotel, residence, etc.).

Touring Available

You're currently visiting or plan to visit other cities.

Fly Me To You

You're willing to travel to a client's city for bookings. Set your minimum rate, travel scope, and notes.

Fly Me To You Settings

When you enable "Fly Me To You," additional fields appear where you can set:

  • Minimum Rate -- The minimum you charge for FMTY bookings (travel + session)
  • Travel Scope -- Domestic Only or International
  • Travel Notes -- Any specifics like "Available for 2+ day bookings. Client covers travel, hotel, and meals."

Contact Information

The contact section determines how clients can reach you outside of the platform's built-in messaging system. All contact fields are optional -- share only what you're comfortable with.

Available Fields

Email

A contact email address displayed on your profile. Can be different from your login email.

Phone

A phone number for calls or texts. Displayed on your profile for direct contact.

Website

A link to your personal website, booking page, or any external URL you want to share.

Platform Messaging

Every provider has built-in messaging on TheOtherBoard -- no setup needed. Clients can message you from your profile.

Even if you list a phone number and email, clients can always use the built-in messaging system to contact you. Many providers prefer to keep initial conversations on-platform and share direct contact info after screening.

Profile Appearance

Understanding how your profile appears to visitors helps you make better editing decisions. Here's what clients see in different contexts.

Your Provider Card (Search Results)

When clients browse the directory or search results, they see a compact card for each provider. Your card shows:

  • Card photo -- The image you select in the Card Photo picker (defaults to your first gallery photo)
  • Display name and city
  • Headline (your tagline text)
  • Starting rate (your lowest listed rate)
  • Badges -- Verified checkmark, Available Now indicator, online status dot
  • Review count if you have reviews

Choosing Your Card Photo

In the Card Photo section of the editor, you'll see a grid of thumbnails from your gallery. Tap any photo to select it as your card image -- you'll see a live preview on the left. If you don't pick one, your first gallery photo is used by default.

Your card photo is your first impression in search results. Choose a clear, well-lit photo that represents you well at a small size. Avoid images that look dark or cluttered when cropped to a portrait aspect ratio (3:4).

Your Full Profile Page

When a client taps your card, they see your full profile page with jump navigation tabs for:

  • About -- Your bio, physical attributes, and services
  • Photos -- Your full gallery
  • Rates -- Your full rate table
  • Hours -- Availability, incall/outcall, policies
  • Reviews -- Client reviews (if enabled)

Physical Attributes

The Physical Attributes section of the editor lets you list details like height, weight, and measurements (bust, waist, hips). These appear in the "About" section of your profile and also feed into search filters, helping clients find you based on preferences.

Tips for a Great Profile

Write an Authentic Bio

Clients respond to personality. Write in your own voice, share what makes you unique, and let your character come through. Avoid generic copy-paste bios.

Choose a Strong Card Photo

Your card photo is your first impression in search results. Pick a clear, well-lit image that looks good at a small size and represents you well.

Be Clear About Rates

List your most common durations with clear prices. Ambiguous pricing leads to awkward conversations. Clients appreciate knowing what to expect upfront.

Update Your Headline Often

Your headline shows on your card in search results. Update it with touring dates, specials, or a seasonal message to keep your profile looking fresh and active.

View Your Own Profile

After saving changes, visit your public profile to see exactly what clients see. Check that your bio reads well, rates display correctly, and photos look good.

Complete Every Section

Profiles with more detail get more inquiries. Fill out physical attributes, services, policies, and contact info -- even the optional fields help clients decide to reach out.

Common Questions

Log in to your provider account, then go to Provider Profile from the navigation menu or your dashboard. You can also access it from the sidebar in any provider dashboard page.

Only your display name, city, and state are required. Everything else is optional, but we strongly recommend filling out as much as possible. Profiles with more detail get significantly more inquiries.

In the profile editor, scroll to the Card Photo section. You'll see thumbnails of your gallery photos. Tap the one you want to use. A blue border and checkmark show your current selection. Your first gallery photo is used by default if you don't pick one.

Your lowest listed rate appears as the "starting at" price on your card. For example, if you list $300 for 30 minutes and $500 for 1 hour, clients will see "From $300" on your card. Full rate details are always available on your profile page.

Yes. The bio field uses a rich text editor that supports bold, italic, links, and lists. Use the toolbar above the text area to format your content. The formatted text appears exactly as you style it on your public profile.

Your headline is a short tagline (120 characters max) that shows on your card in search results -- it's the quick hook. Your bio is the full "About Me" section on your profile page (up to 5,000 characters) where you can go into detail about yourself, your personality, and what you offer.

Changes are saved when you tap the "Save Changes" button. They go live immediately after saving -- there's no review or approval step for profile edits. You'll see a success notification confirming your changes were saved.

Enable "Available for Touring" in the Availability Options section. If you have a Pro subscription, you'll also see a Touring Cities section where you can add specific cities you're visiting. This helps you appear in search results for those cities.
